Methods of use: this program can be used to create a new phoenix tool, modify an existing one, or integrate it into an application. There are three steps to creating a new phoenix tool: first you must make the required directories; second enter the name and parameters of the tool; third compile and install. To modify an existing phoenix tool, copy it over and make changes. Once you've finished making all desired changes, compile and install it as detailed in step three above. The third step creates the tool in an integrated application. If you wish to create a new phoenix tool for an application, you must first integrate it into the application. This should be carried out by placing phoenix_tool.c and all other necessary system libraries in the same directory as the application. Then copy this to the application directory and compile it (usually this is done with gcc). Once compiled, place it into that directory where your phoenix tool will be used (again usually /usr/local/lib). This program is a command-line tool for obtaining information from the phoenix tool. It is used for generating a report of the number of times a specific function was called. Methods of use: to obtain a report from this tool, first obtain the main objects that the phoenix tool will need. These should be placed in /usr/local/lib/phoenix_tool. Then obtain "phoenix_tool" and place it in the same directory as your application, then obtain "phoenix_main" and place it in your application directory (usually under /usr/local). This program is used for compiling phoenix source code. It is invoked using gcc. Once you've integrated your phoenix tool into the application, use this program to copy it to its proper directory under /usr/local/lib. It will then be automatically included when you compile the application. Methods of use: first obtain a main object from /usr/local/lib/phoenix_tool and call it "phoenix_main". Then, invoke gcc with the option "-c" which will create a C source code from an existing phoenix object file, and place it in the same directory as your application. The next step is to compile this file using the linker. Then, if your phoenix tool requires objects from /usr/local/lib/phoenix_tool, copy them over to your application directory. This program is used for compiling an application with phoenix support. It is invoked using gcc. Once you've integrated your phoenix tool into the application, use this program to copy it to its proper directory under /usr/local/lib. It will then be automatically included when you compile the application. Methods of use: first obtain a main object from /usr/local/lib/phoenix_tool and call it "phoenix_main". cfa1e77820
